"Religion is toxic and becomes poison when attached to an agenda." If there was ever a quote that was more true I could not agree more. By religion I am Catholic and will not renounce that by any point, however I do have to disagree with the route many religions are taking including my own. For instance I would think that the higher power"s" that had their hand in creation would something to say about little bipeds like us going around killing eachother in their name. An even smaller example is everyone going around saying that this group is wrong for believing this or that just because it goes against everything another group is diametrically opposed to and furthermore condemming such people to eternal damnation for believing in such a thing. I believe that any higher powers are the only ones to have a say in that due to the fact that people as a whole are flawed. The only thing to have such power would be a creator that was flawless by design. None of us as an individual or group or whole can claim to be such. This is just another reason for my lean towards my spirituality with the higher power on a one on one basis rather than leaning totally on my religion.
