Shades of Grey.

Recently someone I have been getting to know bitched at me for not being more "black and white" about things. This person, not mentioning any names here since they know who they are was fucked off about me seeing situations in more of a grey area and dealing with them in an appropriate manner befitting any grey area. I became very amused with this outlook on my life since this person obviously has not gotten to know the real me yet. I have usually lived my life in that grey area since everything in this world cannot be either black or white. There are shades of grey that all of us have to deal with and this is a place where I feel most comfortable living my life. There are opposites of every being, every situation, every standard, everything. In the middle of these opposites is that area where things are for the most part, solved. Living your life on either one or the other end of the spectrum at times might be a bit extreme and most of the time solves nothing. Granted there are people, things, and situations that are a certainty in my life and that are very black and white. Those things though are the only top priority in my life that are viewed with such clarity. Other things however must be viewed differently. Neither black nor white, good nor evil, this is where "walking between darkness and the light" came from. This is the path that I have chosen to follow. Those who have such a narrow black and white vision of the world should open up their eyes and see that the universe is not that small in scope. There are other colors that exist. People in general should not be so narrow minded as to miss that.
